Supportive, creative services
for adults with disabilities

With music therapist & independent support worker, Maria Mulhearn

Among the trees…

Tucked away behind the ocean amongst the towering gums, my home studio is inviting and engaging.

Together, we can plan for a variety of artistic or musical adventures — weaving, woodwork, clay to name just a few.

Or — you may hear the call to be beneath the trees, active in the garden, or exploring the sea shore.

I am thrilled to offer these creative support sessions and music therapy in One Mile NSW.

Send me a note below and I will be in touch to hear about how I can support you.

  • Support Sessions

    • Focusing on the arts and active engagement in nature, guided by the interests of the participant.

    • Sessions will be held at Creative Connections One Mile. Our home studio and workshop are surrounded by beautiful gardens. There we can engage in a vast range of activities in the field of horticulture and the arts.

    • For those with an adventurous spirit, our sessions can also take us to the nearby beaches and beautiful Tomaree National Park. All in short walking (or driving) distance.

  • Music Therapy Sessions

    • Music therapy is a research based and allied health profession in which music is used to actively support people as they aim to improve their health, functioning and well-being.

    • For adults with disabilities music therapy can provide a means of self-expression, improve communication skills, enhance motor coordination, learning new skills and nurtures a sense of belonging through social interaction.

    • Music Therapy is a valuable tool in working towards NDIS goals.

NDIS participants can use their funds for music therapy when provided by an RMT. RMTs are Masters-level qualified professionals who are accredited by the Australian Music Therapy Association.
